Music Videos

A very interesting cover of a song, and accompanying music video, has come to my attention.  The group is of Canadian origin and located over in Ontario.  I had not heard of them until now, but I am glad that I have.  Below I will post two movies for you, one, the movie that was just brought to my attention, and two, a music video that was brought to my attention a looong time ago but sticks in my head.

Enjoy.

Xmas at Bella Vista

Please note, that on an ongoing basis my videos will also be available in the web albums...  As usual you can get to the albums by clicking the link on the left... or here...

The order of the days doesn't really matter, though, that could be in part because I can't remember which day came when.  I am pretty sure that there was Jennmas, then Christmas Eve, then Christmas, then New Years, but all the other days seem lost to me.  C'est la vie... that is why God invented pictures.  So, I shall go through my photos and provide you with a stunning dialogue in lieu of a recollection of events in the order in which they occurred... or not.

So, it started on the 23rd.  As a matter of interest that is Jennmas, but other than that, it was my last day of work.  I hopped in the Jeep and headed down to Bella Vista... from here on in we speak in pictures...

One of the benefits of working in a Production Company is that the vendors give you Christmas gifts...

One of the things I got for Christmas was a new camera... Yep, I figured out how to make a Panorama... Nope, I'm not taking a photo of anything in specific...

This is a picture of something specific...

And this is a picture of some pictures... with a minor adjustment in colours...

New Digs in the Wake of Adventure

So, given my Adventure in the Philippines, it came to my attention that some of my equipment might be... well... a little worse for wear.

I am glad to report that my Speedo is in fact in spectacular condition, but unfortunately my Tilley Hat and my Camera aren't doing so hot -- this may have been noticed in my post on the Philippines given the big tear in my Hat and the little glowy spot on about 20% of my photos featuring bright objects... no really... I don't know how that eyelash got behind the lens...

Anyways... see below my poor old Tilley... well loved... well used... and just... well... awesome...

And Behold! my new Tilley!!!  I took in my old Tilley and it was replaced free of charge by Tilley Endurables, under its Lifetime Warranty.  I know that certain people... Flily... will perhaps be disappointed that I replaced my dear travelling partner with a hat just as unfashionable, though extremely functional!, but alas, it is done, and my new Tilley is ready for adventure...

As to my Camera.  It was a fantastic Camera and it did its duty in conditions far beyond what it was designed for.  It took photos at -42 C at La Carnaval, and in pouring rain in China and the Philippines.  It will be missed...

And now, the new Camera.  6 more megapixles than the last, GPS, shock resistance from 5 ft, freeze proof to -10 C, and waterproof to 10 m.  This camera has the same amount of zoom as the last (5x) and about a zillion features, including HD Video, and supa' cool Panorama shots.  I have been testing it out, and it shows as much promise as the last Camera.

It is always sad to go from a well loved piece of equipment to a new piece, but one day you can look back at that old adventure gear and smile... as for the new pieces... the time to start smiling is today.
