Right now I am sitting in an Internet Cafe in the town of Naval on the island of Biliran. It is a 15ish minute from here to Almeria where I am staying with my friend and teacher. Things have been amazing so far. The weather has been overcast, but very warm. The house sits surrounded by jungle, and there are a number of other houses scattered about. Chickens roam the streets as well as dogs, cats, and the occasional goat.
Yesterday we went out on a boat and visited a few different islands. We went snorkeling and there we found some shellfish and oysters. We sat on a beautiful beach as we ate raw oysters that could not have been any fresher. After lunch we headed to another island where we took the boat into a bat cave.
Spectacular.
I have a few more adventures lined up, such as climbing the mountain and checking out one of the island's beautiful waterfalls.
