The Field

So, a week or so back I headed to the new oil and gas fields that I am taking care of with work.  It was an interesting trip with my flying up to Grande Prairie, then driving to High Prairie, Manning, then back to Grande Prairie for my flight back home.  I was up there for a week, and for a week I didn't see the sky.  Instead I saw freezing rain, and 18-20" of snow...

I also saw more animals than just about ever before, and certainly animals different than we have around here...  Looks like I had the GPS on the camera off so you can't see where I was when I took the photos and movies, but you can certainly see the photos and movies themselves.

Side, but related, note... I didn't throw up in the helicopter... woo hoo!!!  I am also quite glad because there is a sign that says there is a $100 fee if you throw up in the helicopter...

Another side note... on that trip I saw more moose than I could count, 5 wolves, 1 lynx, a zillion deer, 3 craibou, 2 cowboys, and about a hundred lost cows...
