The Hobbit

I was in grade 6 when I was introduced to The Hobbit.  My teacher had selected it for the book study to be done by my grade 5/6 class.  It was her favourite book, and very quickly it became one of mine.  Without a doubt it has been one of the most influential books on the fantasy genre, and without a doubt one of the most renowned childrens' books...

It's not hard to see why.

Because of all of this, I am pleased (ecstatic) to see The Hobbit getting turned into a full length movie... well, three full length movies.  Peter Jackson made Tolkien's masterpiece of text, The Lord of The Rings, into a masterpiece of film, and he is well on his way with The Hobbit.

We watched it last week in theatres and I cannot wait until parts 2 and 3...
