Atlas Shrugged

TT

This is a momentous day for me. A very very dear friend gave me a great gift for Christmas/Birthday/Whichever is Closer. She gave me a copy of Atlas Shrugged. This version lists only the copyright date of 1957 and the Nineteenth Printing. I believe that this book was released in the first year that Atlas Shrugged was in print. Incredible.

I talk about it from time to time, but for those of you who have not read it... you should! Without a doubt this is my favourite novel. I have read it twice, listened to it on tape once (which after 39 days on the road we had still not finished), and written three essays on it. This book has helped me to define myself and shape my life into what I want.

Atlas Shrugged is a story of great hardship and great triumph. It is about the collapse of man's spirit and its phenomenal rebirth.

This story is not just a story, it is a tome that can provide crucial insight into man, and into man's fullest potential.

Atlas Shrugged changed my life.

As I said, this is a momentous day for me. I received this great gift of Atlas Shrugged on paper, and in receiving it I took a look on the Internet to see what was going on in the Atlas Shrugged world. The answer is, quite a lot. For years there has been talk and rumours and some work on turning Atlas Shrugged into a movie, well, today I learned that it is happening.

Atlas Shrugged has been broken into Parts and will be released as a movie. There is no trailer yet, but the first installation is on its way. For more information on the movie click here for the official site, and here for IMBD.

I highly recommend that anyone who has not read Atlas Shrugged reads it, and anyone who has read reads it again. If you don't get around do it (which will happen for most people) I hope to try and go to see this movie to support this initiative, and this idea.

Atlas Shrugged.

I can't wait.

Atlas
