A Nugget of the Railway

My working for the New Brunswick Southern Railway has provided me with a number of "Nuggets." These are perfect moments in the form of pictures, experiences, and plain old cool stuff that so many of us want to try, but seldom get to. This photo is a Nugget, as was my getting to ride in a High-Rail truck.

I mean, haven't we all seen those truck riding on the rail, and haven't we all wondered what it would be like to ride in one, and where those guys are going? Well, I was in one of trucks, and I was one of those guys.

We took a ride down the tracks to where the Tie Gang was working. They were more or less in the middle of nowhere so it was great that we were able to take the truck. The sights, as always, were beautiful.
